What happens after the grab?

Welcome back all!

Hello Aiki Tribe, 
We hope that everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday. After our short holiday week, we are back to our full-time schedule. We will be exploring our next movements and techniques dealing with Kata Menuchi, the grab and what comes next. Come in and join us as we learn some awesome options for moving with this great technique. See you on the mat!

Thank you to all who were able to join us this past weekend for another very successful dojo celebration. If you weren’t able to make this one, don’t worry we always throw a good party! This weekend we officially were able to award several certificates and spend time with many of our dojo families. Thank you all for keeping our community great, helping the success of all that join us and also keeping us well stocked in tacos! See you all this week for more amazing Aikido with all of our fantastic members!

4th of July Celebrations

Just a quick reminder that we will be closed in observance of the 4th of July. July 3rd and July 4th the dojo will be closed for all classes.  Please come join us on July 5th for regular classes. Have a safe and happy holiday!

Howdy ya’ll and thank you!

What a great past week!
Thank you to all dojo students and families who were at the dojo the last week while some of us were at workshops. Huge thanks to Blaze, Mhark and Jackie for covering several classes and keeping the dojo energy in high gear! We learned a lot and are excited to sharing everything that we can remember with everyone.

Thanks also, go out to Aikido of Reno for hosting a great seminar and allowing us to take part in you Aikido community. As well as Thanks to Frank Sensei of Aikido’ka for putting together a great Aikido Summer camp. We all look foreward to your next seminars.

It’s a TACO PARTY!!!

We are having a member appreciation, ceremony and Taco Party here at the dojo and we hope you can clear your busy summer schedule to be here. June 24th after regular classes join us for a great time! More details soon but for now HERE is a little something to get you in the mood!

Appreciation and a recap

Greetings Aiki Tribe,
What a fantastic last couple weeks, huge amounts of appreciation to all dojo members and their families!

There was a worldwide teleconference that was designed to foster relationships and further Aikido as a global experience. Thank you to all who joined, came to class or helped covered classes while the conference was happening.

The dojo also hosted Reginald Reid Sensei for an epic three-day Aiki Event. It was a great time and educational time. Huge thanks and appreciation to Reggie Sensei for taking the time to share his knowledge and skill with all of us. Domo Arigato Gozaimashita Sensei!

Now we are moving forward on our schedule and getting back to the Aiki groove. Join us at the dojo this week to move forward with more Balance practices for you Aiki skills collection. Let’s keep the energy and the learning in high gear!
